(Primarily CCL and Discern Expert Rule development/support.)

Architect, design, develop and implement patient safety assessment projects including:

  • Clinical Trial tracking – Full-featured tool (using advanced features of discern tools) to track patients participating in clinical trials to alert/notify trial principal investigators and clinical personnel associated with patient of potential trial contraindications with current level of care.
  • DVT Risk assessment – Tool to require DVT risk assessments on all admitted inpatients including email notifications and regulatory reports to monitor care for patients with DVT Risk along with physician notifications of the potential risk and the appropriate DVT prophylaxis for the patient.
  • Admitting Diagnosis tracking – Tracking of patients’ admitting/working diagnoses on order entry with notifications of suggested CareSets based on a patient’s diagnosis.

Manage complex projects from start to finish; including requirement collection with an emphasis on client collaboration, creation of functional and technical specifications, unit and integrated testing, and project implementation.

Maintain system integrity through activities such as checking error monitors, file maintenance utilities and uses utilities to fix problems such as file structure errors.

Software Engineer – PharmNet –  Dec  03  – Dec 06
Designed and developed strategic software enhancements to Cerner’s PharmNet applications, including pharmacy’s Medication Manager, Formulary Manger, Database tool(s) and Frequency tool.

Gained extensive CCL script and label development experience with an expert-level knowledge of PharmNet’s database formulary.

Acquired PharmNet design and build experience, including Supply Chain integration and a strong understanding of CPOE solutions Powerchart, PowerOrders, and eMAR.

Developed widespread knowledge with investigating Defects and Service Requests working directly with client resources to solve complex issues quickly and efficiently.

Attained strong management skills, including a proficiency in leading and mentoring individuals to maximize levels of productivity, while forming a unified team environment.
